Triangular is a registered charity No. 1178903
Triangular was initially set up in 2014 as a community group. As the number of beneficiaries grew and the work expanded, the trustees decided to incorporate the organisation in 2018 for more accountability and transparency.
Advocacy for the refugee community is a vital endeavour aimed at amplifying the voices and addressing the needs of displaced individuals amidst complex legal, social, and political landscapes. Advocates tirelessly work to raise awareness about the challenges faced by refugees, advocating for policies and practices that uphold their rights to safety, dignity, and opportunity. Through lobbying, community organising, and public education initiatives, advocates strive to combat discrimination, promote inclusion, and create pathways to integration for refugees in the UK. By championing refugee rights and amplifying their narratives, advocates seek to dismantle barriers to justice and support, fostering a more compassionate and inclusive society where refugees are empowered to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.
Advice, Information & Guidance
Come along to one of our regular drop-in sessions, where you can get advice and support with most problems and difficulties related to Housing, Immigration, Language, Volunteering and Employment. Our refugee workers have a range of skills and first hand experience, and can also advise on integration in the local community.
Integration Activities
We have a range of activities to bring people together, where you can meet new people, learn new skills and have fun. We are keen to support you by helping organise the kind of activities you would like, and these range from Zumba classes to Sewing sessions and Artwork. If you have a skill to share, we will help you link with others. We also arrange community get-togethers, usually over a shared meal, where new refugees can meet the local residents, so we can all learn from each other. Just ask at the drop-ins to find out what is happening, or to suggest something new.
